SRQ Project


This was my SRQ. I really enjoyed doing this. I used travel maps for inspiration.

My master artist is Ferdinand Hodler. I love the landscape pieces he creates. He makes them look so subtle, yet detailed. The pigmentation in the colors makes the picture stand out more.

My current artist is Geraldine Burles. I love her landscapes as well. She paints the water with so much detail. She also puts a lot of detail in smaller things such as boats and grass.

Quarter 1 Value Project My master artist is Michelangelo. I used his "Head of a Young Man" as an I idea on how to shade the human features. The way he uses soft shading, makes the portraits look more lifelike and realistic. The way he draws the person from the side also helped me to understand the shading area of the face. AP Art write up

   With this art piece, I made this as the first of my theme because I thought it would be the easiest to recognize. With this, I did a scarier version of the classic movie The Fox and the Hound. My whole theme is to take famous animal movies and do a horrible twist with them to show the meaning of animal cruelty. With this I made the fox and the hound the opposite then what they are in the movie. I'm not done with the full piece but I am happy with this being my first piece because I know I can grow from this.   With this project, I wanted to go all out on this. With my inspiration on the idea of circus animals not being treated as well as you think. Sticking to my idea of taking classic movies and changing the, I thought of the movie Dumbo being the perfect fit. Piece 10

With my piece starting to become more and more realistic, I needed to make sure that my pieces created the messages I needed to portray. When you see the shows of all the animals, you never see to realize how they live. No one understand the struggles they have. In most whale and dolphin shows, they are forced to perform. They are given many drugs and even harmed in order to entertain the public. With these animals being used to the open ocean, they are confined to such small spaces which can cause many health issues. Over time, these creatures die due to the conditions they are "cared" in. This has diminished the population of these beautiful creatures.
